A full kitchen renovation usually covers removal of the old kitchen, any plumbing and electrical alterations, wall and floor preparation, unit installation, worktops, appliances, splashback and final finishing. We price these as one scope so there is a single point of responsibility.
New circuits and cooker connections must meet Part P of the Building Regulations, gas hobs and ovens need a Gas Safe registered engineer, and Approved Document F sets a minimum extract rate of 30 litres per second for a cooker hood over the hob (60 l/s if the fan is elsewhere in the kitchen). We include these in the plan from the first visit.
Most kitchen installations take around one to three weeks on site depending on size, worktop templating and any building work. Solid-surface and quartz worktops are templated after the units are fitted, which adds a short wait that is planned into the programme.
